China unveils Pakistan super highway

China's President Xi Jinping is going to announce investment of $46bn for super highway from China to Pakistan.

The project
The project is focused on building a network of roads, railway and pipelines between the two countries.
They will run 3,000km (1,865 miles) from Gwadar in Pakistan to China's western Xinjiang region for $46bn.
The biggest benefit for China is a direct access to the Indian Ocean and beyond. Pakistan hopes that the investment will boost their struggling economy and help end chronical power shortages.

The worries of the project
There are questions over Pakistan's ability to secure this project againts problems with militancy, separatism, pollitical problems or corruption.
China has worries about violence in Pakistan's region from militancy groups.

"China and Pakistan need to align security concerns more closely to strengthen security co-operation," said Mr Xi in a statement to Pakistani media on Sunday.
