Migrants from Libya died in the sea

Hundreds of migrants died in Mediterranean sea on the ship from Libya on Saturday night. The number of potential victims is not clear. A Bangladeshi survivor told investigators there were 950 people on board. Previous estimates put the number around 700. Maltese authorities said that 50 people had been saved. But the Italian guard said 28 people had been rescued and 24 bodies recovered. (CNN)

Festival Všemi směry dismantled the world of media to the bone

On the 16th of April the students of Vyšší odborná škola publicistiky, journalists and media specialists met together in Experimentální prostor NoD to discuss selected topics. We saw a war photographer Alžběta Jungrová talking about taking photographs during a war. Than we watched a document Pod sluncem tma by Martin Mareček and than the discussion with the author followed. The programme of Všemi směry included workshops of marketing, graphics and journalism. The festival ended with a discussion called Války hodnot where Sabina Slonková, Roman Bradáč and students of Vyšší odborná škola publicisticky performed. Festival was visited by more than 200 people and finished the next day in the morning.

Bomb attack in Somalia killed charity workers

Monday bomb attack in Somalia has killed seven people, four of them were Unicef workers. Police forces think that one of the victim is the man who did the attack himself. In that case it would be a suicide bomb attack, but nothing is sure yet. There are also four other Unicef workers who were seriously injured. The blame of this attack is on islamist militant group al-Shabab, because they are fighting Somalia about control of the country.

Top Gear was everything for Clarkson, but it ruined his life

Jeremey Clarkson, a famous anchor of a television show about cars, was scared of a tongue cancer. His doctor had warnd him about the posibility of this illnes two days before the attack on production manager Osin Tymon. Clarkson railled against him about no food for 20 minutes and after that he attacked him. Clarkson wasn´t in a good psychological mood. His wife had left him and his mother had died, so he became a workoholic. The Chief executive of BBC, Tony Hall, fired him. Milions of fans supported the anchor by a petition.

China´s financial injection for Venezuela: $5 bn

Venezuela has recieved $5 bn from China. President Nicolas Maduro said the money was for development. Venezuela is suffering from an economic crisis. The price of Oil, which is Venezuelan main export aricle  has almost halved over a year. This current $ 5 bn injection should be a boost to Venezuela. President Maduro visited Beijing on January and said that China will invest more than $20 bn to his country. I have to remark that Venezuela is in something like diplomatic war with USA.

• 96% of Venezuelan export revenues come from oil
• the price of Venezuelan oil has dropped from $97 in April 2014 to $50 in April this year
• the inflation in 2014 stood at more than 60%

Another attack on teacher

Today at 11. o´clock a thirteen year old student is believed zo have killed a teacher by a croossbow at school in Barcelona. According to agencies AP and Reuters the offender was arrested.  During the attack four students from a high school in Barcelona's Sant Andrea were injured.

Barcelona is engulfed in mourning. El Periódico wrote, that the boy knocked on classrooms door and fired on the teacher, who answered the door. A teacher from next classroom went to help her. The boy shot him into his heart. The man died on the spot.

According to the news La Vanguardie the boy was obsessed by army and he had a collection of guns at home.

Acid attacker commited suicide

The man, who spilled acid on his ex-girlfriend, hung himself. Milan Balamuta was accused of attempted murder. He was waiting for sentence, but he will never hear the judge. The Punishment could have be about 20 years, but also expectional sentence. Balamuta admitted the crime. The woman is still waiting for undergo several operations.
